Smart wallets
We helped bring passkeys into smart contracts early in their adoption, developing Vectis’s authentication, programmable account tools and wallet interfaces around familiar ways to authorize transactions.
The challenge
The account had to serve two audiences: people authorizing transactions and developers defining how those transactions work. Both needed a clear path into the same system.
Our approach
Working with the Vectis team, we connected WebAuthn passkeys to smart contracts that verify transaction authorization. We developed plugins and automations for programmable account behavior, an SDK for integrating applications, and both an embedded wallet and browser extension to make the account accessible in different settings.
The result
The September 2023 demo showed passkey access in an embedded wallet. Our work also delivered programmable workflows, an SDK and a browser extension for integrating the account into applications.
